In the framework of the joined research project 'Supernal' (CNPq, Brazil), equivalent to 'BRA 098 / 78' (Ministry of Research and Education BMBF DLR-IB, Germany), the Technical University Hamburg Harburg (TUHH), Arbeitsbereich Thermische Verfahrenstechnik has designed and constructed identical screening units for Supercritical Fluid Extraction. The units shall provide for each partner same (reproducible) process and working conditions for the screening of the natural product of interest, in different seasons, sites or regions of Brazil. The budget for the construction of each unit was limited to approximately 12.000 USD, all taxes included.
