The aim of the present work is to present the method developed from HIP-MITSU, which enables to successfully and quickly manage a project concerning the realization of Web-Coated and Laminated new generation composites. First of all definition of a "new generation composite" is given; then we pass to the analysis of all keyparameters which influence the project, such as polymers, adhesives, substrates, application technologies, productivity and flexibility. All that being stated, an overview on the achievable matching points described here below are given: Performances required to the End Product, Validation Methods and Criteria, Industrial Production Cost, Substrates', Adhesives' and Polymers' Platforms, expected Production Output, Investment Pay-back, Technological Platform, Control and Monitoring of the Benchmarks required in Production, Production Flexibility Level, Preliminary Laboratory Tests, Comparison within different technologies, Time to Market, Industrial Tests with Pilot Lines. The contribution will be enriched of concrete examples and will summarize the advantages obtained from the application of the present method to some significant case histories and will close with a representative case history that represents a concrete operative approach for the method implementation. The added-value we intend strongly reduce the time to market for the realization of web-coated or laminated new generation composites and also help to avoid gross mistakes during the estimation phase, which can invalidate the successful project's result or even fully compromise it.
