摘要

This paper investigates a new p-adaptive scheme based on nodal enrichment technique. The method requires an extra set of polynomials to enrich the classical nite element shape functions via their well-known partition-of-unity property. The adaptive procedure, which is node-by-node basis, is driven by residual-type error of the displacement at a point. The capability of the new p-adaptive technique is investigated in linear elasticity.
