Soil conservation in the U.S. arose as a necessary response to land misuse and the natural process of erosion that had been mostly left unchecked from the opening of new lands for settlement and agricultural development. Shocking conditions early in the 20th Century stimulated corrective actions. Now, agricultural changes continue to threaten the fine balance of responsible soil conservation and severe erosion, not only in the U.S. but also elsewhere in the world. Because of its extreme importance, soil conservation is a very constructive and important topic for us to discuss. The paper we learn here can be disseminated as we move forward with soil conservation improvement and maintenance.
