A policy-capturing approach was used in a 2 (attribution) × 2 (procedural justice) × 2 (distributive justice) × 2 (role), experiment to study the impact of attributions and justice on corporate citizenship perceptions of downsizing. Attributions and justice variables significantly impact citizenship perceptions. Implications, limitations, and future research are discussed.
