Since its disappearance in February 1962, the fate of de Havilland D.H.90A Dragonfly ZK-AFB, with pilot Brian Chadwick and four tourist passengers, has become one of New Zealand's and the South Pacific's most enduring aviation mysteries. All the official air accident report could say was: 'The aircraft disappeared in the course of a flight from Christchurch to Milford Sound but the reason for its failure to arrive at its destination has not been determined'. Even after all these years I still hear people say, "What happened to the Dragonfly?" or "Where is Chadwick?" and "One day it may well be found!"
