STMicroelectronics' new LSM330D multisensory MEMS module for consumer- and portable-system applications integrates three-axis sensing of linear and angular motion in a 3 5.5 1-mm package. The iNEMO module with 6° of freedom is almost 20% smaller than competing devices, according to the company. The module combines a user-selectable full-scale acceleration range of 2 to 16g with angular-rate detection of 250 to 2000 dps along the pitch, roll, and yaw axes.
