Transparent conductive films are coatings that are characterized by high transmission in the visible spectral range and are electrically conductive. Generally, oxides have been considered to be representative insulators. The thin films of oxides based on some metals such as tin, indium, cadmium, zinc, etc., exhibit high transmittance and electrical conductivity and are used successfully in modern solid-state technology (panel display, electronic and optoelectronic components, thermally insulating glass, etc.) [3,6-9]. Cadmium oxide (CdO) in thin films has received considerable attention, due to its important number of applications such as solar cells, gas sensors, transparent electrodes, photodetectors, etc. [8,10,11,12]. CdO thin films can be prepared by a large variety of methods such as thermal oxidation of cadmium films, spray pyrolysis, thermal evaporation, sol-gel technique, metalorganic chemical vapour deposition, etc. [13-17].
