PATRICIA M. EMMIS, CSP, ARM, has 19 years' experience in safety. Her employment includes work as a safety manager for a multistate utility contractor and loss control specialist for an insurance carrier. She is currently director of workplace safety for the Denver Zoological Foundation. Ennis is a professional member of ASSE and has held all offices in the Colorado Chapter. During her term as president (2001-02), the chapter received a Chapter Achievement Award. Region II service includes two terms as region vice president (2004-08). She currently serves on the Region II Advisory Committee. Service at the Society level includes membership on the PDC Planning Committee (2002-04), Risk Symposium Task Force (2005), and Nominations and Elections Committee (2006). Ennis currently serves on the PDC Planning Committee, the Strategic Planning, Finance and Bylaws committees, and served as chair of the 2008 Future Safety Leaders Conference.
