摘要

The paper is about quality dimensions, quality capabilities and business strategies. The authors initially review and summarize the theoretical relationship between various quality dimensions and business strategies. Figure 1 in the article gives the quality dimensions, capabilities and business strategies. The authors then proceed to research design wherein the basic model is presented. They present four hypotheses and test them. The basic data for testing was collected through a survey. A total of 282 questionnaires (a copy of the same is in the appendix) were mailed to top executives in high-tech manufacturing firms in Taiwan. Table 1 in the text gives the industry composition and size of sample respondents. The data so collected were subjected to statistical analysis. In the first stage, cluster analysis was used to assign all firms included in the three business strategy groups. The second statistical technique used was multiple regression. Figure 2 gives the varimax factor analysis. The authors then conclude with important management implications.
