A 9.9 Ib (4,5 kg) urachal abscess involving the umbilical arteries was diagnosed in a 12-week-old Holstein heifer, The urinary bladder wall was adhered to the mass, in addition to multiple adhesions of the jejunum, which were associated with incomplete extramural obstruction. Adhesiolysis was completed. One section of partially obstructed jejunum was resected and a side-to-side anastomosis performed. Recovery from surgery was uneventful.
