摘要

Hypodermoclysis (HDC) is the administration of isotonic fluids into subcutaneous tissue for the treatment of mild to moderate dehydration. Up to 3 liters of fluid can be infused over a 24 hour period using two separate sites. The usual rate of administration is 1-2 mL per minute which results in approximately 60 to 120 mL per hour. Most care providers prescribe 75 mL per hour for optimal comfort with hydration.
