Vetlab Services are running a new range of courses to help the veterinary nurse develop their in-house laboratory skills. Veterinary nurses are increasingly recognised as indispensable members of a veterinary practice. Consequently their training anddevelopment within Associated Training Practices is an important issue. As part of the two year veterinary nurse vocational training programme, student nurses are expected to become competent with a wide range of analysis equipment. However, in many cases these practical skills cannot always be acquired within the practice environment. Effective use of laboratory services is essential both to get the best from your laboratory and for the practice to make best use of its own available resources and to get the most from probably the most precious resource to us all - time.
