摘要

The volatile constituents of the essential oil of Zygophyllum album L, growing in Algeria, extracted by hydro distillation have been analysed. A total of 100 volatile compounds were identified and (E)-p-damascenone (11.8%) was the major component of the oil. This is the first report on the chemical compounds of the essential oil of this species.
