The synergy achieved through employing large-screen visualization technology and collaborative environments has changed the way oil and gas companies operate. This has catalyzed an increase in team and global co-operation and decision-making. The examples of success and utilization are many and cover the whole range from seismic exploration, through well steering to production optimization. Clearly reducing travel requirements via remote data acquisition and real-time decision-making capabilities continues to be extremely valuable to high-dollar operations, but what is next?
