SRM data correlates well with label-free data for Vitellogenin-1 with an estimated CV_(A) below 10percent. Ovomacroglobulin remains an interesting candidate marker for SRM-based studies but analytical variability for the current method/tryptic peptide remains high. Additional peptides are being considered for Ovomacroglobulin that have been identified in previous studies (label-free and tissue GeLC-MS/MS). Multiplexed SRM-assays of additional proteins of interest including Transthyretin and Apolipoprotein A-I (which are currently included in OVA1, the multivariate assay to predict if an ovarian mass is cancerous) are under development.
