A cukorrépát termesztésének fellendülése óta - 1860-as évek - a talajállapotra leginkább igényes növényként tartjuk számon. Megvizsgálva a növény talajállapottal szembeni követelését, megállapítható, hogy az, tényleges igény a fejlődést, és a termésképzést hosszabb ideig meghatározó, és leginkább befolyásoló talajréteg lazultságával szemben.%The soil condition demand of the crops, including sugar beet, is equivalent of a claim to the loosened soil layer affecting their growth and harvest prospects and decreasing their fluctuation. An important standpoint, that the sugar beet demand for a deeper primary tillage can be compatible to the improvement of soil condition and by this means the crop production to be more independent of the harmful effects of the extreme weather conditions. Soil compaction, as an environment damage can be alleviated by a deeper tillage. There are four main phases in the sugar beet tillage system - such as stubble stripping, primary tillage and preparation, seedbed preparation, sowing and forming a conservation surface - which are to fulfil by a conservation way. This solution can be realized in tillage systems, such as the alleviation of subsoil compaction for demand of the crops and soil conservation, the prevention of recompaction, and by way of these, improving and maintaining the environment quality. Objective of soil tillage is harmonization of the soil protection with demands of the crop to be grown on the given land under prevailing farming condition.
