Amid such an atmosphere, the Employees Committee, which represents employees of the firm, is positively moving to upgrade the corporate competitiveness. In the global steel market, struggle to win the first and second ranks has become much severer recently. Amid fierce M&A competition to hold a dominant position in the market and to recover the leading position in the global steel industry, POSCO's Employees Committee suggested four major action plans for both labor and management to take for an improvement in the corporate competitiveness.
