Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a malignant epithelial neoplasm originating in the salivary gland. ACC arising centrally within the mandible is extremely rare, with only 17 previously reported cases. ACC typically presents with slow, indolent growth, but there is a high incidence of local recurrence and metastasis, which results in the low long-term survival rate.
