摘要

Numerous factors control growth e.g. feeding, water temperature, and oxygen availability. Knowledge of the environmental factors influence on the growth is really important in the assessment of the fish adaptation in an aquaculture breeding. For thisreason we investigated, during a productive cycle, the influence of environmental factors, in particular water temperature and consumed oxygen amount, on the course of some productive parameters (body weight, food consumption, monthly FCR and SGR), and the mortality in two stocks (Mediterranean and Atlantic) of Gilthead Sea bream (Spams aurata) to assess the adaptation abilities and the consequent productive ability in the climatic-environmental conditions present in Sicily. From the analysis of our data we can conclude that water temperature influenced the course of FCR, SGR and oxygen consumption while oxygen consumption influenced the course of body weight and food consumption.
