The invention relates to a reconnaissance rover (100) designed for multiple agile and autonomous landings over a small body (A) or moon. The reconnaissance rover (100) comprises a detection unit (140), a processing unit (150), a control unit (160) and a drive unit (170). The detection unit (140) is designed to detect at least one environment in front of the reconnaissance rover (100), in the direction of a trajectory of the reconnaissance rover (100) over a surface of the small body (A) or moon. The detection unit (140) is also designed to provide environmental data based on the detected environment. The processing unit (150) is designed to update the trajectory based upon the provided environmental data. The control unit (160) interacts with the drive unit (170) in order to move the reconnaissance rover (100) corresponding to the updated trajectory.
